Firearms Training

Our primary focus in this class is safety.  The  curriculum is time-tested and is focused on producing safe, ethical and responsible gun owners.

The reasons for training may include:
  • initial purchase of a firearm
  • skills development
  • acquiring a comfort level with a pistol
  • achieving NRA basic pistol certification
Whatever your motivation, this class provides an excellent primer for pistol competency.

The instructor team will be led by Bill Asdal who holds current NRA Pistol Instructor status, and Range Safety Officer certification.  Four of Bill's daughters have been NRA Intercollegiate All-American shooters for the United States Naval Academy.  Multiple family members have attained NRA Pistol Instructor status and may participate in the instruction.

"Thank you for rewarding us with such a wonderful experience."

"I completed the course this past weekend and had a phenomenal experience. Mr. Asdal offered firearms instruction that I'm confident will serve me well. I enrolled in the program having no experience operating pistols, and only having gone skeet shooting once before. I can now say that I know the mechanisms and operations of several types of pistols, how to safely and correctly shoot a pistol from both bench rest and standing positions, how to clean and maintain a pistol, and how to attain a pistol license. Mr. Asdal incorporated hands-on activities and integrated examples that made the program both educational and enjoyable. He turned what could have been eight hours of tedious PowerPoint into a full day of interactive and collaborative lessons."
Billy, Bergen County.

"Thank you again for putting on the gun safety course. Everyone had a great time, learned a lot of about gun safety, and we appreciate it very much."
Great Class!

"This class is fantastic. Bill Asdal is a great instructor, and I feel much better informed, safer and more confident with a firearm now that I have been through the course. I recommend it to everyone who will be around guns."
